Scrapbooking....

I have been scrapbook like crazy lately which probably isn't the smartest thing to do considering it is a rather expensive hobby BUT I just love it and it is relaxing and just makes me smile. I just finished an amazing scrapbook (if I do say so myself) for Marilynn which I LOVE and with a new pug coming home in about 23 days (and counting) I have been working like mad on Dexter's album so I don't get even farther behind as I know pictures are going to be taken left and right once the new baby is here...well anyway it is late and I have to work at 6am BUT I made a page tonight which I am in LOVE with so I had to share before I go to bed....so here it is my Dexter pug in his pink polo...he isn't really a fan but it sure makes for some great pictures!

My Poor Puppy

So Dexter has been limping for a week and we had no idea why, we knew it wasn't broken and we knew that there was no trauma to his leg so we were baffled as to why he was limping around.

Well I finally broke down and took him to the vet this afternoon and he has Panosteitis which is like growing pains in dogs. My vet said it is very painful and can last several months before it goes away. There is no known cure OR cause, apparently it is just really random and will go away on its own over time...I am so happy that it isn't anything serious but feel so bad that he could have another 4-6 weeks before it starts to go away. They did give us some anti inflammatory medication that is supposed to help him with the pain but there is nothing that can just make it go away :-(

My poor little man is supposed to have restricted activities until we notice it going away, blah!!

I hope he loves his new brother as much as he loved this little girl, crossing my fingers :-)

Family Reunion

So WAY WAY WAY back in May Shawn and I went with his family to Cardston Alberta Canada for a family reunion. I have been working on a top secret project for Marilynn and since I just finished and Shawn sent it off I decided that I could officially post the pictures that know one has ever seen. I was impressed and happy with a lot of them, of course I only posted a handful we have TONS more. So EnjoY!!!

The pictures are kinda of backwards but I am WAY too lazy to fix them so technically they start at the bottom and finish at the top.

Missi's Baby Shower

My cousin Nikki and I threw a baby shower for my cousin (her sister) Missi on Sunday Sept 13.. She is having a boy his name Gunnar David and she is due October 15, 2009. Nikki and I had a lot of fun planning it and I think everything turned out great. We splurged on the cake, but we LOVED it, and we even had a chocolate fountain. We didn't play any games because people really don't like those so it was just a simple affair with lots of great food (my mom's spinich artichoke dip is to DIE for) and great people. Again I was a slacker in taking pictures but I did get a few, of course the cake and her belly were my main focus!!!!!!!!!

We only have about a month to wait before we get to meet him...we are all very excited this will be the first boy born in the immediate family basically since my dad was born 60 years ago...CRAZY!!!

Shawn is taking pictures of the new tree's like crazy so more to come, but I think I am done for day, Dexter have school tonight (yes we know we are dorks!)

Labor Day Weekend Trip

We went to Montana over Labor day weekend to visit Shawn's parents, it was a very relaxed trip and we really didn't do much. Although they did have a new dog park and it was fantastic, Dexter LOVED it...I wasn't very good about taking pictures but I did take a few, of Dexter of course and I just LOVE them so enjoy!!!!

I am still learning all the things that my amazing new camera can do, and Dexter is the best model!! I can't wait till I have both of my pug babies at home so I can a million pictures of the new baby too!!!!

Also another name option for the new pug...Desmond??? What do you think?

New Puppy

So, I used to have a website where I kept my family and friends who didn't used Myspace or Facebook up to date on what has been going on in my life. Well I decided that this would probably be easier and I would be more willing to update on a regular basis so here I am.

The biggest news that Shawn and I have is that we are getting a new puppy another pug of course, he doesn't have a name yet, but he is a boy and we picked him out this weekend 9/12/2009. He is currently 5 weeks and we hope to get to bring him home around Oct. 15. We had to travel to Milton FreeWater Oregon to pick him out but it was worth the trip, not only is he about the cutest dog ever he was VERY cheap!! We brought Dexter along with us and although he really couldn't be around the puppies once we picked out the one we wanted we were able to give him a little time to sniff out his new brother!!!

So Meet Milton, Duncan, Linus, Benjamen....whatever we end up naming him!!

Shawn took a few pictures of Dexter when we stopped on the side of the road, I thought they were cute so here are a few!!

I will be sure to post pictures as soon as we bring him home and let everyone see Dexter's reaction to having another dog in the house. I am sure Abby and Simon (the cats) will be less than thrilled BUT you never know, maybe this puppy will turn out to be Simon's new best friend. I have a few pictures from Missi's baby shower and some current photo's Shawn took of the tree's he just planted so once I load them onto my computer I will be sure to post them! Enjoy!!
